I grew up in the Central Valley of California where I worked on both my parents farms and the farms of our neighbors. I have always been fascinated but he natural world and have hiked/backpacked most of the mountains in the Sierras, collecting a host of safety and interpretation certificates along the way. Since 2014 I have been applying those experiences in a new context across the coastline of southern California, getting more and more interested in the impact of microplastics on a variety of coastal food webs. I am currently seeking a new position which will allow me to continue adding to my nascent, but growing skill set.
