Today we went to the Jaggar museum in the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. They had a really cool section that talked about the use of underwater robotics like the ROV to monitor and capture images and videos of the underwater volcanos. This is used to record the many different types of rock formations that are created once lava cools. It can also be used to monitor these volcanos magma flow and patterns.
